Pune Metro
Titagarh Rail Systems Limited secured a contract from Maha Metro in 2019 for the design, manufacture, and supply of metro rolling stock for the Pune Metro project. As part of the agreement, the company will deliver a total of 102 metro cars (34 trains) out of which 3 trains manufactured at its Italy facility and the remaining 31 trains produced at its Indian plants. The total value of the contract stands at ₹1,125 crore.
Building on the successful execution of this project, and in alignment with the Government of India’s vision to adopt aluminium-bodied coaches across the Rail and Metro ecosystem, Titagarh has again received a ₹430 crore extension order in 2025 for the supply of 12 additional aluminium metro train sets for the Pune Metro. This continued order further strengthens Titagarh’s position as the only private-sector manufacturer in India with the capability to deliver aluminium passenger rail solutions.
