Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), in consortium with NCC Limited, has been awarded a significant contract by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the manufacturing of 108 standard-gauge metro coaches for Mumbai Metro Line 6. The aggregate project value stands at approximately ₹6,672 crore, of which TRSL’s scope accounts for around ₹2,501 crore. As per the contract terms, project execution is scheduled to commence 62 weeks from the date of contract signing, with completion targeted within the subsequent 154 weeks.

In a separate development, TRSL has also secured a landmark order from MMRDA for Mumbai Metro Line 5, valued at approximately ₹2,481 crore, for the manufacture and supply of 132 technologically advanced metro coaches. This order further reinforces TRSL’s strategic positioning and sustained contribution toward strengthening India’s urban mass transit ecosystem.
